NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO RATEPAYERS OF THE KOONTZ LAKE
REGIONAL SEWER DISTRICT OF PROPOSED REVISED RATE ORDINANCE
Notice is hereby given to the ratepayers of the Koontz Lake Regional Sewer District located in Starke and Marshall Counties, Indiana, that the Koontz Lake Regional Sewer District Board of Trustees will conduct a public hearing at its regular meeting at the Koontz Lake Regional Sewer District Administrative Building, 10625 Prairie Avenue, Walkerton, Indiana 46574 at 5:30 p.m. CST/6:30 p.m. EST on August 16, 2022 concerning a revision to the rate ordinance, Ordinance 2018-A, so as to increase the user rate due to necessary replacements and improvements to the system.
The proposed revised rate ordinance to be considered at the meeting will change or amend the existing monthly rate to the ratepayers residing within the Koontz Lake Regional Sewer District from $55.02 per EDU to $60.00 per EDU.
The proposed revised rate ordinance to be considered at the meeting will increase the inspection fees to $100.00 and the fee for insufficient funds to $25.00. The entire revised rate ordinance is available for inspection on the District website.
